When a position for a tissue viability nurse came up, Sylvie was the only one with the knowledge to fill the role. In the clip she talks about how she got there and where her passion for tissue viability started.

Sylvie first started in the field acting as a specialist Tissue Viability Nurse for 4 years; in a hospital and then 16 years as an independent consultant running a private wound healing centre commissioned by the NHS to care for chronic wounds.
Having written over 350 articles and 2 books on wound care, Sylvie is now acting as a trainer and advising nursing homes; district nursing teams, practice nurses and hospital nurses; expert witness for Coroners, Crown Court, Nursing and Midwifery Council and for Litigation cases.
