Background
The Star and Garter Home in Richmond opened its doors to the first residents on 14th January 1916, under the auspices of the British Red Cross Society, to care for the severely disabled young men returning from the battlegrounds of the First World War.
Project
The main focus was to provide furniture suitable for dementia care residents and to select care products to balance the primary issue of function and aesthetics along with value for money.
We proposed 2 tone furniture with a rounded finish, two features which provide ease of living for residents with dementia. We also delivered pressure relieving beds and mattresses to improve the quality of life of each resident.
