The Sunflower Living Well Centre at East Cheshire Hospice has recently undergone a huge makeover – what was once a dark and dismal room is now a warm and inviting wellbeing space, and no longer ‘that bad place at the end of the road’.

When they [patients] first come in to see an inviting chair, it gives the impression that’s a comfortable chair. The place I can relax, feel secure and you quite often see patients getting down in the chair and you can see them physically relaxing. As if you’re giving somebody a nice hug.
