The ultimate posture and pressure management Rise & Recline chair.

With Dual Tilt in Space (DTIS) mechanism, the OSKA Regis has been designed to provide the highest level of pressure relief is ideal for patients/residents with changing and deteriorating neurological conditions, such as Motor Neurone Disease and other neurological conditions, palliative and end of life care and those with frailty of age.

The Tilt in Space movement allows the seat back angle to remain constant whilst the whole seating system is tilted backwards, preventing shear and friction. It also reduces the weight placed through the Ischial Tuberosities, redistributing the weight through the back. Regis is ideally suited as part of a 24-hour postural care programme to reduce the risk of skin breakdown. Fully compatible with Sara Stedy stand aid.

 

 

These chairs provide pressure relief for patients who are at very high risk or who have category 4 PUs where other cushions are limited.

Tilt-in-space
The tilt in space function reclines the chair while maintaining a constant angle between the ankle, knees and hips which helps to reduce shearing and friction on the skin. It also reduces the weight placed through the Ischial Tuberosities, redistributing the weight through the back
Pressure Relief
With a choice of 7 interchangeable seat cushions each with different pressure management features, care providers can purchase one or more cushions to support the different needs of individuals who may use Regis.
Easily replace the cushion for an alternating air cushion (wired or wireless battery pump) making it customised for the patient, without changing the dimensions of the chair.
Easy to manoeuvre
For ease of movement the Regis comes with a heavy-duty push handle with rubber grips and large casters to enable care staff to easily transport the patient to their favourite areas in your care environment.
Wireless cushion option
For long term care of patients/residents suffering from pressure ulcers. Once fully charged the Dynaform alternating air cushion will last approx. 12 hours, depending on the weight of the patient/resident. Intended to help and reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers while optimising comfort.

We have received some great feedback from patients, relatives and staff about our new OSKA Regis posture and pressure management rise and recline chairs. We have 6 of these Regis chairs and are very pleased with them. The integral pressure relieving cushions mean we no longer need to store as many pressure cushions and that patients are not balancing on a cushion, raising them up slightly.We have the option of using a dynamic pressure relieving cushion which is integral and gives better pressure relief, especially if a patient is sleeping in the chair.

We have 2 of the Regis chairs from OSKA and find them very valuable. Patients find them comfortable and the ability to recline the seating position helps patients who like to sit in a chair for prolonged periods of time have a level of pressure relief that other standard chairs do not allow.These chairs also provide pressure relief for patients who are at very high risk/who have category 4 PUs where other cushions are limited. As the pressure relieving cushion is built into the seat, the addition of pressure relieving cushions on top of these chairs are not required so the seating position of the patient is not altered – this promotes comfort and function.
