Zero pressure heel Offloader
Protect vulnerable heels with the OSKA Offloader to suspend heels for ‘zero pressure’ making it suitable as an aid in the prevention & treatment of heel ulcers up to & including Category 4.
ToughWeld & V-Guard Technology
Delivers a cover with inherent antimicrobial properties. The strong, pliable mattress cover materials and coatings stand up to the rigorous cleaning demands of healthcare environments.
OSKA’s unique Tough-Weld welded seams prevent ingress of bodily fluids into the mattress, and in combination these features support local infection prevention and control policies and practices.
Microclimate management
The highly responsive Aerolite foam has microclimate properties which allows air to flow through the foam keeping the body cool and dry, important in preventing pressure ulcers from forming.
The Aerolite foam makes up the top pressure relieving layer and Offloader feature found on the Series2 and Series4 mattresses.

The heel relief slope is designed with a decline at the foot end to assist in the prevention of heel pressure ulcers, one of the most vulnerable areas on the body.

Simply use the mattress as an evacuation surface with our unique and innovative evacuation system - pull out the straps and secure your patient to the mattress using the velcro fasteners.

Description

OSKA Series2 Trolley Mattress

The OSKA Series2 Trolley Mattress is compatible with Emergency Department trolleys.
Lengthy wait times within the ED lead to a greater risk of hospital acquired pressure ulcers (HAPUs) incidence.

Risk factors for HAPUs developing or worsening in patients include:
• Limited/reduced mobility
• Sensory impairment
• Compromised nutritional status
• Frailty of old age
• Those with incontinence/at risk of moisture on the skin
• Pre-existing pressure damage
• Other co-morbidities or mechanical forces

When exposed to the cumulative effects of high pressure, patients with one or more of these risk factors are more likely to experience negative patient outcomes.
