Carilex Dualflex Hybrid
Dynamic hybrid pressure care mattress combining high performance static foam with active alternating air cell technology for exceptional patient comfort and healing.
Designed for patients at ‘High Risk’ of developing pressure ulcers, the Dualflex is a step-up, step-down mattress, providing cost-effective pressure ulcer prevention and healing in one hybrid system.
Standard Hybrid - non-powered mode
The self-adjusting technology of the Carilex Dualflex mattress cradles the patient in a low-pressure environment by optimising patient immersion and envelopment into the support surface. As a reactive, non-powered support surface the Series8 can meet the pressure area care needs for the majority of patients across a range of clinical settings.
Standard Hybrid - powered mode
Alternating therapy can be quickly and easily applied by connecting the ultra-quiet auto-weigh pump, to deliver gentle alternating therapy and is very effective even for complex patients with Category 4 pressure ulcers. By using the powered mode to step the patient up to an active therapy support surface, it eliminates patient disturbance and the additional manual handling burden on staff often associated with ‘stepping patients up’ from a reactive to an active support surface.
Microclimate management
The combination of air and foam allows air to flow through the mattress keeping the body cool and dry, important in preventing pressure ulcers from forming. The high-performance castellated foam layer reacts to the patient’s body and features a zonal area design to provide effective redistribution of pressure on the vulnerable sacrum, head, shoulder blades and heel areas.
Vapour permeable cover
Breathable vapour permeable and water resistant 2-way stretch covers help improve patient comfort and contribute towards the reduction of shear forces and pressure ulcer development.
Infection prevention & control
Hidden zip for IPC. Machine washable up to 80°C and suitable for cleaning with up to 10,000ppm chlorine.
