OSKA Series1 Advance Bariatric
Bariatric modular foam pressure care mattress with heel slope & side walls. The Series1 Advance Bariatric has been upgraded to offer a heel relief slope at the foot end to protect vulnerable heels & enhanced higher specification castellated foam for greater immersion & envelopment, therefore improving pressure redistribution.
Protect vulnerable heels
The heel relief slope is designed with a decline at the foot end to assist in the prevention of heel pressure ulcers. The smaller castellated cubes of the heel relief slope have been designed to reduce the effects of shear & friction.
Modular foam
The high-grade castellated pressure relieving foam cubes react independently to conform to the patient/resident’s body to support their weight & for greater immersion & envelopment, improving pressure redistribution.
Patient stability and safety
The firmer outer edge of the mattress supports patients sitting on the edge of the mattress during ingress and egress from the bed.
Pressure relieving stretch cover
The stretch cover is designed to stretch in all directions to reduce shear and friction for those at very high risk of developing pressure ulcers.
Infection prevention & control
The Tough-Weld seams and V-Guard cover is extra strong to help protect against strike-through and damage from cleaning chemicals. The 360° flap over the zip protects the mattress from ingress of fluids and contamination.
OSKA Selector
With no clear algorithm or selection guide it can be difficult to know what mattress you should be selecting for your patients. To make this clear, OSKA has devised a system, the OSKA Selector, to help carers identify if the patient is on the correct mattress.*With clinical assessment*Support surface assessment requires holistic assessment and cannot be decided on risk assessment score alone (EPUAP 2015).
