OSKA Series6 OneSurface™ with integrated falls alarm

The Series6 OneSurfaceTM offers a single mattress strategy to save time and money whilst improving clinical outcomes. The excellent immersion and envelopment properties combined with shear reduction and microclimate management, make it a brilliant pressure care strategy.

Without a pump, this mattress provides outstanding immersion and envelopment, enabling it to be used as an aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers up to and including category 4.

Simply add a pump to provide active therapy for the management of complex category 3 & 4 pressure ulcers.

Ideally placed as a single mattress strategy throughout an entire hospital, including intensive care, palliative and end of life care settings, plus complex neurological disorders. No minimum user weight – suitable for very low weight patients/residents.

Now with its integrated falls alarm system designed to reduce the risk of falls, the unique air, pressure-sensitive alarm offers safe and reliable monitoring of those in care, without compromising the pressure relieving properties of this specialist mattresses for pressure ulcer prevention, management and treatment.

Reduce resident/patient falls

Compatible with all nurse call systems
Optimal Hybrid - non-powered mode
The self-adjusting technology of the Series6 OneSurface™ mattress cradles the patient in a low-pressure environment by optimising patient immersion and envelopment into the support surface. As a reactive, non-powered support surface the Series6 can meet the pressure area care needs for the majority of patients across a range of clinical settings.
OSKA Series6 mattress pump
Optimal Hybrid - powered mode
When adding the pump, the mattress delivers gentle alternating therapy and is very effective even for the most complex patients with Category 4 pressure ulcers . By using the powered mode to step the patient up to an active therapy support surface, it eliminates patient disturbance and the additional manual handling burden on staff often associated with ‘stepping patients up’ from a reactive to an active support surface.
OSKA Anti-shear
Microclimate & shear management
The three anti-shear transfer zones in the mattress cover reduce the potential for shear-related tissue injury in the vulnerable areas of the heels, sacrum/trunk, and scapula, as well as when patients are being handled or moved. The inherent foam properties, its construction (castellations ) and the moisture-vapour permeable mattress cover all combine to help assist with microclimate management of patients’ skin.
Welded seams & V-Guard technology
Delivers a cover with inherent antimicrobial properties. The strong, pliable mattress cover materials and coatings stand up to the rigorous cleaning demands of healthcare environments. OSKA’s unique Tough-Weld welded seams prevent ingress of bodily fluids into the mattress, and in combination these features support local infection prevention and control policies and practices.
OSKA Safety Edge
Patient stability & falls protection safety
Patented inner bolster gives a "cradling effect" for user safety.
Reinforced outer edge of the mattress supports patients sitting on the mattress edge during ingress and egress from the bed.
Firm sides give edge-of-bed stability directing patients back towards the mattress centre, reducing the potential for contact with bedframe side rails.
Minimises risk of falls and entrapment.
