OSKA Vertex
Vertex has a unique combination of Tilt in Space alongside an independently controlled back recline and leg elevation. Care givers can constantly adjust the patient/resident’s position to relieve pressure and provide all-day comfort.
Designed to provide the highest level of pressure relief, Vertex is ideal for conditions, such as Motor Neurone Disease and other neurological conditions, palliative and end of life illness and those with frailty of age. Both reclining and tilt systems can provide pressure relief, increase circulation, improve head, neck and trunk control, improve functional posture and positioning, support safe transfers by various means and minimise variations/fluctuations in the client’s muscular control.
Tilt-in-Space
The Vertex mechanism enables a whole range of postural positions for high level pressure management care with independent Tilt in Space, Backrest Recline and Leg Rest adjustments.. Its tilt-in-space recline maintains a constant angle between the ankle, knees and hips to reduce shearing on the skin and provide maximum comfort whilst reclined.
Integral Pressure Care
The choice of 7 interchangeable and adjustable pressure management seat cushions enable the chair to be adapted to a single user’s care pathway or to adapt the chair to another user. For example, easily replace the gel cushion for an alternative air cushion, without changing the dimensions of the chair.
Integral leg rest
Adjust the seat depth of your patient’s chair and use the sliding footplate for increased comfort when sitting. The contoured leg rest helps to stop the legs splaying and is extremely comfortable.
Interchangeable back cushion
The choice of 7 interchangeable and adjustable pressure management back cushions enable the chair to be adapted to a single user’s care pathway or to adapt the chair to another user.
Fully adjustable
The Vertex can accommodate a variety of different sized patients as its cushions can be easily adjusted to meet specific support challenges.
The Vertex comes with large casters to enable care staff to easily transport the patient to their favourite spots in your care environment.

Manually recline the chair
Using the left-hand lever on the push handle the chair can be gently reclined to provide a range of recline angles for your patient. When the lever is released the chair will stay in the desired position.
